Macalloy Tension Bars and Compression Struts specified as not only a structural requirement, but also as a design feature.

Independent Tower, Austin, Texas, is a 658ft tall condominium tower - and is the tallest residential building in the region. The design award winning building includes unevenly stacked blocks, earning the nickname “Jenga Tower”. The structure includes a Sky Fitness Center, and a 25 person theatre, both cantilevered over the buildings edge offering floor to ceiling views of the cityscape.

Macalloy 520 2.05” dia. Tension Bars and custom designed 6” OD Compression Struts have been installed throughout. The Macalloy bar was specified as not only a structural requirement, but is also a design feature within each apartment.
