For the realization of this project in the fascinating Stockholm, our Cotto Terre Umbre in the Natural Finish was chosen.

Just as for the choice of top quality ingredients of Italian origin in their menu, even for the floor, the choice fell on an authentic product made by hand and cooked in a wood oven.

The chosen clay has a particular color typical of Umbria, with soft blush pink nuances. One of its strengths is to make the environment brighter, without renouncing the warmth of terracotta. Today it is one of the most used colors thanks to its chromatic versatility which allows it to be combined with different styles of furniture. In this case, the Customer has chosen the Natural Finish, to leave the product more material.

The format of the product is the 15x30 Pianella, the historic shape and size which, thanks to its naturalness, can easily be inserted into any project with different styles and settings.

The peculiarity of this format is certainly the thickness, only 1 cm in height, created thanks to the artisan production that allows us to customize the project according to the specific needs - technical and aesthetic - of the customer.

The distinctive feature of this project was the addition of an exclusive Maestri del Cotto brand treatment. This is the Lime Treatment, made with products studied and tested in thirty years of experience, to create a terracotta with a bleached finish, typical of lime. In this way, not only does the treatment protect the entire floor, but it also adds a specific aesthetic effect.

Being a public place, the anti-stain protection is optimally rendered by the action of our solvent-based beeswax, which ensures a powerful shield against stains and against the wear and tear of a rather heavy foot traffic. Beeswax is a much loved product because, in addition to guaranteeing very high protection, it leaves a beautiful velvety effect on the surface, in this case made even more particular by the lime.

Together with the supply of terracotta, we have in fact supplied the products to treat it, once and for all. The careful processing of the support and the study of specific products for our terracotta have allowed us to leave the customer with the possibility of carrying out the treatment completely autonomously, made easy and accessible by our tutorials and continuous technical assistance.

The result is a unique floor, with its natural nuances due to wood firing, customized in shape, color and surface effect of the treatment.

We just have to hope to taste the Italian delicacies offered by the excellent menu soon!
