Metalco presents SUPERVERDE by STEFANO BOERI INTERIORS
Urban forestation for the cities of the future
The architect who designed the “Bosco Verticale” (Vertical Forest – Milan) has launched a new challenge, the urban forestation one, proposing a virtuous system in which city and nature can integrate, creating a network of green spaces, to realize more and more safe, pleasant and healthy places. SUPERVERDE becomes a timely manifesto of this search for a new alliance between city and nature, favoring the presence and multiplication of trees in the city, improving the quality of the air and - consequently - the lives of citizens.
SUPERVERDE is the idea of a green and organic surface to be added to the urban soil. It is a product designed to accommodate nature within cities by increasing their biodiversity: a system in balance between technology and ecology that generates a place to rest, meet, contemplate. Capable, therefore, of increasing biodiversity, demineralizing urban soils, reducing the "heat island" effect, lowering the temperatures of densely built areas and renewing the relationship between nature and the city.
The device is a new biological soil that overlaps the urban mineral surfaces, designed to be installed in any square, internal courtyard and public or private urban space. SUPERVERDE is a modular portion of living soil that changes continuously in colors and shapes, transparencies and brightness, enhancing the earth, roots, branches, leaves, flowers.
Thanks to a system of modules, sides and hidden lateral structures, it allows you to compose different landscapes, in terms of shape and size.
SUPERVERDE, therefore, implements a circumscribed natural setting, enriched by a permeable, variegated and balanced plant cover, which collects and delimits the specific natural elements of a territory and its respective climate, changing from time to time, from season to season.
