Milano Bedding at Salone del Mobile 2025 presents the Rufus sofa bed and two new versions of the best-selling Clarke

Comfort, innovation and design at the heart of Milano Bedding's proposals for Salone del Mobile.Milano. The collaboration with designer Christophe Pillet is back.

On the occasion of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025, Milano Bedding confirmed its key role in the world of convertible sofa beds with three new products, a mix of aesthetics, comfort and functionality.

Proposals in line with the trends that emerged during the Milan Design Week: innovation in terms of technology and mechanisms, refinement of shapes, comfort and customisation, with designs that are increasingly mindful of, and attentive to, the needs of contemporary living.

Milano Bedding has interpreted these trends with particular attention being given to the hospitality sector. The new proposals were also born out of the brand's deep and long experience in the sector and of the artisan skills, typical of Made in Italy, with the sofa beds being made at the Desio headquarters in Brianza.

At the Salone del Mobile, the company presented its convertible sofas in four elegant settings, where the sofas were combined with other items of furniture of notable, historic design. The Milano Bedding stand displayed a stylish combination of past and present, much appreciated by visitors from all over the world.

Rufus, the new sofa bed designed by Christophe Pillet: a balanced combination of style and comfort

The Rufus sofa bed, designed by Christophe Pillet, was given great prominence, perfectly in line with the 2025 trends in the furniture sector. The model embodies the growing interest in 360° quality interior design and in products capable of adapting naturally to changes in living and hospitality.

Furthermore, the choice of fabrics with which it was presented at the fair, such as mélange and neutral colours, reflects the current orientation towards soft & calming colour palettes, capable of creating harmonious and relaxing environments, perfect for daily well-being. With this in mind, Rufus was shown in two versions: one in cream fabric with chaise-longue and a linear one in an elegant blue mélange cover.

The Rufus sofa bed, in addition to its generous proportions and deep seat with a single cushion, features a low frame that almost touches the floor. This distinctive detail interprets the trend of home cocooning, where the living room is transformed into a welcoming and relaxing refuge.

This innovation for the convertible sofa sector is the result of careful research and development carried out by Milano Bedding in collaboration with the designer. The Lampolet mechanism chosen for Rufus allows it to be transformed easily and quickly into a spacious bed with a 200 cm long mattress, thin but surprisingly comfortable.

Rufus is a solution that responds perfectly to the evolution of modern living spaces, increasingly hybrid and multifunctional in which versatility and flexibility are required. This sofa bed is a classic example of how design can interpret new needs with style and intelligence, enriching the environment with an understated elegance.

Clarke Twin and Clarke Cross: maximum functionality and unmistakable style for dynamic environments

On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Milano Bedding announced two new versions of the best-selling Clarke sofa bed, designed to meet the needs of environments with limited space.

With Clarke Twin, the sofa converts into a bed with extreme ease thanks to the practical Lampolet mechanism, known for its reliability and ease of use. With one simple movement it is possible to obtain a single bed or, if necessary, a double bed that can be pulled out from under the seat, all without having to remove the backrest cushions: an intelligent solution designed to guarantee immediate functionality and zero stress.

But Clarke Twin is not just about practicality. Its unmistakable look, defined by the “skirt-style” detail with visible stitching, adds a romantic and informal touch, capable of making every room warmer, more welcoming and personal. The Clarke Twin convertible sofa, therefore, is the ideal choice for those looking for a space-saving solution without sacrificing comfort and charm, perfect for holiday homes, second homes, guest rooms, or for environments in which every element must be beautiful to look at and useful to live in.

The new second variant of the Clarke sofa bed is Clarke Cross, which maintains the same aesthetics and is designed for those who live in small spaces but do not want to give up comfort and design.

Thanks to the innovative Lampolet crosswise sleeping mechanism, Clarke Cross stands out for its ability to optimize spaces, opening the bed horizontally and thus reducing the overall depth compared to traditional sofa beds. The transformation takes place in a few seconds: without removing the backrest, you can access the bed, making the transition quick, fluid and intuitive.

Clarke Cross brings with it that aesthetic versatility that is increasingly in demand in furniture today and reflects the trends of hybrid and dynamic living.

With these new proposals, Milano Bedding renews and strengthens its vocation for the "evolved design" of 100% made in Italy sofa beds, combining aesthetics, technology and comfort in solutions capable of responding with elegance to the challenges of contemporary living.

Innovation, artisanal quality and authentic Italian taste remain the pillars on which the company builds each model. A happy balance between intelligent functionality and timeless style, which makes each sofa bed not just a piece of furniture, but a genuine experience of daily well-being.
