Comfort and functionality on the high seas.

Milano Bedding sofa beds on board the Artania and Amadea cruise ships

In environments where every square meter must be used intelligently, such as cruise ship cabins, the choice of convertible furniture is essential. Sofas and armchair beds are an ideal solution for combining comfort, versatility and elegance, offering guests a welcoming living space that, when necessary, converts into a comfortable bed.

It is precisely with this in mind that Phoenix Reisen, a German shipping company based in Hamburg, selected Milano Bedding to furnish the cabins of two of its cruise ships, Artania and Amadea, with customized and made-to-measure models.

The company, based in Desio in the Brianza region, has supplied several transformable sofas and armchairs, all made in Italy, designed and manufactured with handmade care, attention to detail and maximum customization.

A collaboration that confirms the reliability and quality of Milano Bedding products even in international and highly demanding contexts such as naval hotellerie.

The selected models – Dave, Mingus, Lampo and Frank – feature timeless design that combines aesthetics with comfort, thanks also to the Lampolet mechanisms, comfortable mattresses and tailored workmanship. During the day they offer a comfortable seat to relax on, while in the evening, with a simple movement, they convert into welcoming beds.

Dave is the result of a careful search for balance between aesthetic appeal and functionality, with a contemporary

design that expresses lightness and style. The thin but strong frame combines essential lines and seating

comfort, thanks to precisely studied proportions. The 16cm high feet slim the design of the sofa, giving it an elegant and distinctive identity.

Mingus has a clean and regular shape, decorated with visible stitching that underlines its rigorous design. The soft

cushioning provides a welcoming and comfortable feeling, making the model harmonious and balanced. This combination of structural elements and visual softness gives Mingus an informal elegance ideal for sophisticated but functional environments.

Frank Small is a compact and versatile sofa bed: its linear shapes and sober design allow it to fit discreetly even

in small spaces, adapting naturally to minimalist-style environments.

Lampo-2 has an essential aesthetic and square lines that combine with great practicality of use.

This creation represents further confirmation of the international vocation of Milano Bedding, which exports not only convertible furniture all over the world, but also a design philosophy based on innovation, quality and Italian style.
