Home office: Pedrali’s proposals

Versatile and flexible workstations at home

With the rise of working from home, the configuration of domestic spaces needs to be revised. The house takes on new purposes and its environments get reconfigured according to these new needs, while becoming more and more fluid. On summer days, also outdoor settings, like terraces or balconies, are trasformed into temporary offices.

To remotely keep on track with daily activities a space for working from home is required without compromising the benefits of an actual office. Ergonomic and flexible workstations that perfectly fit into the house, while improving the quality of home life.

For this reason Pedrali proposes flexible and versatile furniture, suitable to both the office and the home, or space-saving for small environments. Armchairs assuring maximum comfort, flexible tables responding to the user’s or space’s need and complements that furnish with style while guaranteeing maximum efficiency. Pedrali solutions allow to create refined workstations with high quality aesthethic, without forgetting ergonomics.

To meet these requirements, Robin Rizzini designs two products: Toa desk and Toa Folding Screen. Lightweight and minimalist, the Toa table is characterised by a solid die-cast aluminium frame in a fluid geometric design. Main features are the tapered bridge legs made of die-cast aluminium, which are thinner at the base and widen up towards the “T” element that supports the top. Toa is equally suitable for “light” offices, executive rooms and residential spaces, thanks to its smaller sizes.

Toa Folding Screen is a sound absorbing desktop panel that separates and defines spaces. It’s also the perfect solution for home working spacial arrangements. Given that it is extremely lightweight, the screen can be folded with ease and moved from one place to another, creating a defined and sound-proofed workstation.

Temps low back, by Jorge Pensi, the latest version of Temps executive chair, is now characterised by a lower backrest. It is designed to seamlessly fit both in office meeting rooms and residential settings.

Pure and elegant, Temps low back has a striking feature in its height-adjustable base made in die-cast aluminium. The chair guarantees excellent ergonomics and comfort thanks to its weight-activated, synchro-tilt mechanism that is able to regulate the degree of tilting autonomously according to the user’s body weight. The seat and backrest are comfortable and warm with its polyurethane injected foam padding, cosily embracing the person sitting on the chair.

Another product designed by Jorge Pensi is the tilting version of Ypsilon table, which helps to organize modern co-working spaces by meeting their constant need for change. The stackable table with wheels and tilting top, can be moved and stored away when not in use: at the cutting-edge in terms of quality, it conveys both attention to details and a high-tech element.

Elinor, by Claudio Bellini, is an executive chair designed for the office that can fit into domestic contexts as well, thanks to the enveloping polyurethane injected foam seat and back and the weight-activated synchro-tilt mechanism integrated in the seat, Elinor allows the tilting to be self-regulated according to the user’s body weight, ensuring that the back is kept in the most comfortable position.

The Arki family expands with Arki-desk, a table that adapts to any setting. Arki-Desk adds a new element to the Arki family, offering a simplified interpretation of the collection’s distinctive features. The Arki-Desk’s clean, linear design makes it particularly versatile and suitable for flexible and functional modern corporate and home offices.

Boxie is a modular, versatile and colourful storage system with wheels designed by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, made up of large polypropylene drawers and tops housed in a coated steel frame. Beautiful to look at from all angles thanks to its three-dimensionality, Boxie is suitable to be placed in any environment. We can easily picture it into an office, a room, or a studio.

Comfort and ergonomics of executive chairs are elements that we find also in some upholstered armchairs by Pedrali, such as Blume, Vic and Jazz.

The partnership with the German designer Sebastian Herkner gives rise to Blume collection. A chair and a lounge chair characterized by soft and rounded shapes, owe their distinctive appearance to their sophisticated flower-shaped profile in extruded aluminium. An extremely comfortable chair, in which the slender extruded aluminium frame and the soft, generous polyurethane foam are harmoniously combined.

Vic chair, by Patrick Norguet, draws inspiration from classic mid-century armchairs. A comfortable and cozy collection featured by a curved backrest raised from the seat, which creates a lightness sensation.

A perfect balance of proportions and thicknesses gives life to Jazz a collection of upholstered seating where the gently curved backrest is supported by a light and graceful steel structure. Wide customization is possible thanks to the combinations of the upholstery and the different finishes of the steel.

Finally, can’t be missing three seats that wink at the office world, but find their perfect placement in domestic environments also: Nym soft, Laja and Ester.

Nym Soft, designed by CMP Design, comes in a new height-adjustable version with aluminiun five-star base with castors, designed for home offices and working spaces. The key feature lies in the different densities of the polyurethane foam padding, which is significantly thicker in the seat area, ensuring adaptability and support - two central elements of comfort.

Stylistic simplicity defines the Laja collection, designed by Alessandro Busana. An armchair in which comfort is assured thanks to the seat formed by crossed elastic belts, immersed in polyurethane foam, with a slightly elastic and welcoming back.

Lastly, Ester, by Patrick Jouin, is a mix of elegance and functionality. The soft and graceful lines an the great comfort offered by the seat dinstinguish the settings in which it is placed.
