Carrera: the “Cabrio” dehors in the heart of the Dolomites
Fresh air, the majesty of the mountains and the chance to enjoy it from a privileged observation point, in any season. At the Rosapetra Spa Resort this is possible thanks to the design of Pratic’s Carrera bioclimatic pergola.
This innovative project, curated by Francesco La Bella, director of Genius People Magazine, has been conceived to meet the need to create an outdoor place that could offer not only comfort, but also a unique experience of well-being and connection with the surrounding nature.
Carrera has been therefore the ideal pick since, in its free-standing version, perfectly blends with the contemporary alpine style, enriched with materials such as stone and fir tree wood, reflecting the essence itself of Cortina.
The bond among design, nature e technology, which characterizes Pratic’s projects, finds its full expression here: the pergola combines design and functionality, thus enhancing the exclusive site that surrounds it and the spaces of the five-star hotel.
The generous spaces (4.46 x 5.2 m) allow for living the outdoors in complete freedom.
About colours, Pratic's innovation stands out, thanks to the use of paints certified for performance and sustainability, and a dedicated palette to design original solar shadings. Here, the dark chocolate finish matches the colours of the building and the intense tones of the Ampezzo landscape, while, at nightfall, the perimeter RGB lighting and the spotlights integrated in the blades create an intimate and enveloping atmosphere.
Nevertheless, that’s the superior comfort offered by Carrera that appeals, since it’s the first solar shading with alternate blades, fixed and movable, that lift and overlap one another thus creating original lighting and ventilation scenarios for a bioclimatic pergola. When closed, instead, the covering offers a cozy shelter, to benefit from even in wintertime.
The experience of comfort and style is even enhanced by four concealed vertical awnings named Raso, offering extra sun protection, and by the glazing Slide Glass 60, in smoked finish, giving protection against wind, light rain and dust, thus providing more privacy while preserving the panoramic view. The Set modular platform, matching Carrera's colours, completes the setup and makes it even warmer, thanks to the wood finish chosen for the walking surface.
Antonio Onorato, the hotel’s owner, has observed with satisfaction how Carrera has been able to enrich guests' experience, offering them a stimulating place, involving all the senses. Flexibility and design are the keywords of this project, which allows for expanding the possibilities for conviviality in every season, in a context that reflects the tailored welcoming and hospitality, from guest’s arrival to his departure.
The project also stands out for the collaboration with prestigious brands such as Baxter and Audemars Piguet whose exclusive contribution represents design excellence. In particular, the selection of Baxter furnishings transforms the area into an exclusive space blending style and comfort. The composition plays with the alternance of neutral colours and verdigris: the Elephant sofa by Paola Navone talks to the Himba seat by Roberto Lazzeroni, while the sitting room is completed by a handwoven Indian rug. The Arizona tables, made of a verdigris etched copper frame match with the Bao coffee tables, in handcrafted grey terracotta, thus giving an intriguing textured touch.
Conceived in detail, the furnishings embellish the space sand ensure durability, exactly as Carrera does. Furthermore, the installation has been achieved in just two days by the dealer evòo experience based in Belluno, making sure to ensure minimal disturbance to the guests, proving therefore efficiency and professionalism.
For the 2025 season, Carrera’s set-up will be renewed with selected furnishings by Moroso. The space will become a lounge with a smoking area, equipped with mushroom heaters for the best comfort, thus confirming the pergola’s great adaptability to many different configurations, uses and styles.
Between wordly glamour and enchanting natural landscapes, Pratic interprets with mastery the desire of living open-air spaces in a perfect bond of luxury, privacy and exceptional locations.
