Riflessi’s Vela Chair Wins the GOOD DESIGN® Award 2025

Where design meets recognition on the global stage

Established by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, and founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, the Good Design Award is the world’s oldest and most recognized program for design excellence.

Vela was selected in the “Furniture” category among a record number of entries submitted by leading manufacturers and design studios from 55 countries worldwide, with over 1,100 products chosen last December by the jury of the 75th GOOD DESIGN Award.

This highly prestigious recognition is received with great pride by Riflessi for this chair designed by CarlesiTonelli Studio. Since its debut at Fuorisalone 2024, Vela has captured the attention of both the public and the interior design world thanks to its contemporary character, suitable for both contract and residential environments; its ergonomics and comfort ensured by generous, enveloping forms; and its distinctive feature—the opening between the seat and the backrest—an elegant yet functional detail that also facilitates ease of movement.
