Elegant and timeless: Ritmonio taps follow the stylistic imprint of Studio Caroline Andréoni for a residential project in Paris.

Boulevard Emile-Augier

A "mix of style": this could be the definition of the Parisian apartment that was the subject of the renovation project led by Studio Caroline Andréoni. The interior designer effectively responded to the needs of the client, a Parisian family with a dynamic lifestyle, who wanted to have comfortable and functional living spaces, capable of combining an intimate dimension and sophisticated interior choices at the same time.

The result is coming from a year of work, following a careful study of restyling and transformation of the intended use of the original environments. The initial plan of the apartment, although with a generous surface area of 250 square meters, was quite complex: numerous partitions, many small rooms divided and not very usable.

The reinterpretation and redefinition of the functions has made the entire house bare: the spaces are large and fluid, communicating with each other, the contribution of natural light has been favoured and moving from one area to the other has been made easier.

All the original elements typical of the Haussmann style have been preserved not to disperse the characteristic timeless elegance and maintain the decisive and bold character of the entire design mood. Caroline Andréoni was able to create a coherent whole, from the large living room to the three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Examples are the Hungarian herringbone parquet and the traditional mouldings of the kitchen, which follow the entire profile of the tall furniture.

A great deal of attention has been paid to two of the key aspects in this kind of work: the choice of materials and the study of custom-made furnishings, elements and accessories. Effect combinations between quartz, wood and brass play with the glass walls with geometric patterns and with furniture and cabinets that always meet the primary needs of proportion and continuity of spaces. Bold colour and design choices that convey emotions.

To fulfil an explicit request from the family - who wanted to enhance the living area and the kitchen in particular to be able to comfortably accommodate and entertain guests - an open space of 95 square meters was created, light and bright in contrast with the total dark look of the second living room, used as a study and library.

The wallpapers with distinctive botanical and natural-inspired motifs give charm to the bedrooms, each with its own reference bathroom, which recalls its colours and inspirations.

In one of these, the Taormina series by Ritmonio, simple and sophisticated in a Brushed Gold finish, creates an interesting combination with the waxed concrete walls in shades of pink. The timeless charm of gold is perfect for the inspirations of contemporary architectural canons that we find in the apartment.

Surprising, impeccable and with a refined style, Taormina is a solution that respects history in modernity. A real touch of class which, with its graceful lines, fits perfectly with the mosaic floor with floral motifs. Its versatile design is combined with refined technology, designed to significantly reduce water and energy consumption and conserve water, satisfying the needs for functionality and comfort that a contemporary home must be able to satisfy.
