TopAccess Roof Hatches for Feringa Building, University of Groningen (NL)

High-performance TOP249 hatches with superior insulation and safety

Recently, Staka produced and delivered five TOP249 TopAccess roof hatches for the new Feringa Building — the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Groningen (NL). Each hatch measures 2.40 x 0.90 m, made from stainless steel, and features an exceptional U-value of 0.21 W/m²K to minimize heat loss.

These roof hatches provide safe access for maintenance and inspection—especially for rooftop installations like solar panels. They also facilitate moving equipment onto the roof without relying on exterior ladders.

Local production, short lead times
Manufactured entirely in Oosterhout (NL), Staka’s in-house production allows fast delivery. The hatches were installed by Ballast Nedam Bouw & Ontwikkeling.
