With its remarkable wide view of the fire, the new Stûv 6 wood-burning insert fits easily into existing open fireplaces - including in deeper recesses. Boasting quality in all areas, it’s perfect for anyone who wants a new insert or to turn their open fireplace into a more efficient and environmentally friendly solution. The Stûv 6 adapts to small spaces, responds to reduced energy needs and is ideal for low-energy homes. Attractive, ecological and economical, this fire, which takes its “6” from the shape of its cross section, will be a hit with fans of authentic wood-burning fires.
THE STRENGTHS OF THE STÛV 6
• Easy installation: Available in different formats and configurations, this super-compact wood-burning insert can be used to replace old inserts or fit into open fireplaces without the need to demolish the existing chimney. Equipped with a support casing to make it easier to fit, it can be installed without the need for any major building work in shallow recesses (35cm).
Its smoke outlet can be fitted at 45° or 90° depending on your installation needs.
• Wider view of the fire: Destined to produce beautiful results for all sorts of different interiors, its wide glass front - in all 3 models, including the smallest one - offers a maximum field of view for the fire. This view is enhanced by the curved shape of the combustion chamber, which extends into the frame.
• Fantastic performance
Thermal performance: Confined in a small cast iron chamber, the fire is less powerful but offers maximum combustion quality.
Environmental performance: Particularly concerned about the climate, Stûv is reducing carbon dioxide and fine particle emissions even further than the requirements of current standards.
Its wood consumption is also reduced.

The Stûv 6 was presented at the 2019 Hearth & Home show in Harrogate and received the Award for the best ‘Wood Log and Multi Fuel Appliance up to 5 kW rated output’.
It is due to go on sale in autumn 2019.
