Enhanced capabilities for large glass panels and Entering in curved glass segment

Transparent Design continues to strengthen its position as a leader in glass processing through major investments in cutting-edge technology and the expansion of production capacities. We are committed to increasing production capacity, optimizing existing lines, and expanding our portfolio, ensuring that we continuously meet the expectations of both local and international markets.

New glass processing equipment

Starting this autumn, we will be putting into operation a series of new equipment that will cover all glass processing stages: cutting, edge finishing, CNC processing, tempering, laminating, painting, and digital ceramic printing.

Enhanced capabilities for large glass panels

With these new investments, our factory in Popești-Leordeni, Ilfov County, will be able to process large glass panels up to 9000x3210 mm, a significant expansion compared to the current maximum size of 6000x3210 mm. Thus, Transparent Design becomes the only company in Romania capable of processing glass at this size and one of the few in Europe with such equipment. In addition, the new machines allow higher efficiency and productivity for any glass size, enabling us to meet the demands of larger and more complex projects with the same promptness and quality that we are known for.

Entering in curved glass segment

We are also expanding our product portfolio by offering tempered curved glass, covering a diverse range of bending radii (both concave and convex), thanks to modern, computer-controlled equipment. The technology used also allows the production of decorative curved glass that meets the sophisticated aesthetic and quality requirements of modern architecture, making it an excellent choice for large-scale projects.

This will allow us to offer large-size curved glass with complex bends for applications such as interior partitions, structural facades, balustrades, refrigeration displays, products for the automotive industry, and more.

Investments exceeding 4 million euros

The investments in new equipment total nearly 4 million euros, complemented by the construction of a new fully equipped hall dedicated to processing glass panels up to 9 meters (including tempering, bending, and laminating). This ensures optimal production capacity for large projects and an optimized internal flow for processes and deliveries.
