Transparent Design celebrates 20 years of activity with a new visual identity

A New Chapter of Growth, the Same Commitment to Strong Partnerships

Transparent Design, the largest flat glass processor in Romania, that delivers processed glass also internationally and which carries out the entire range of processing with its own equipment, is celebrating 20 years of activity in the Romanian glass market this year.

With a modern 15,000 sqm production facility and a daily processing capacity of 1,800 sqm per shift, Transparent Design provides customized glass solutions for a wide range of architectural projects, from office buildings and commercial spaces to HORECA locations and residential complexes.

Investments for Excellence and Quality

One of the key pillars of the company's development has been continuous investment in technology and production infrastructure. State-of-the-art equipment from top suppliers has been acquired, increasing production capacity and diversifying the product portfolio.

Today, Transparent Design offers tempered and laminated glass, enameled glass, CNC processing, digital printing with ceramic ink, as well as the newly announced expansions in processing glass sheets up to 9 meters, curved glass, and insulated glass units.

Among the most significant investments that have propelled the company forward are:

• Acquisition of the production and office facility, currently housing the company’s headquarters, on a total land area of 38,900 sqm.

• Expansion of the main production unit with two additional manufacturing halls, with another hall dedicated to processing glass sheets up to 9m set to be completed this year.

• Construction of a solar power plant with approximately 3,500 photovoltaic panels, generating 2.2 MWh, covering up to 86% of the production energy needs, reducing costs, and lowering carbon emissions.

• Purchase and installation of three tempering furnaces, with a fourth furnace to be put into operation this year, enabling the processing of glass sheets up to 9m.

• Expansion of laminated glass production capacity, now offering laminated glass with EVA, PVB, and Sentry interlayers.

• Acquisition of a state-of-the-art digital printing line using ceramic ink on glass, capable of handling sheets up to 6000x3200mm— the only one of its kind in Romania.

• Continuous expansion of glass processing capabilities for irregular shapes, cutouts, and drilled holes by increasing the number of CNC processing centers to seven, ensuring high-precision processing that meets the highest visual and functional standards.

• Recognition of the company's sustainable development through ISO certifications for Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, as well as international certifications from UK BSI Kitemark for “safety glass for construction” for tempering, laminating and Heat Soak processes.

• Ongoing automation of existing production processes.

• Entering the curved glass segment through investments in bending modules for existing tempering furnaces, as well as equipment for processing glass sheets up to 9m, set to be operational in the summer of this year.

• Commissioning of a machine for manufacturing Insulated Glass Units (IGU) with dimensions up to 5000x2700 mm.

After 20 years of activity, Transparent Design reaffirms the founders' original vision: to provide high-quality products and build trusted partnerships. The company marks this anniversary with a new visual identity, introduced to the market starting in April—featuring a redesigned logo that symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter in its development.

The new logo incorporates a visual element within the letters "T" and "D," subtly illustrating the transformation of raw material—glass. “We have kept the same color spectrum but updating the shades to add a modern touch and visually anchor the brand within the glass industry,” explains Alina Nechifor, Managing Partner at Transparent Design.

The slogan accompanying the new identity, "Success is built on trust," reflects the company’s commitment to strong partnerships based on mutual success. Additionally, the brand descriptor highlights Transparent Design’s core business: providing customized glass solutions.
