Maintains the building structure on a long-term basis - Triflex BFS protects balconies and walkways
The self-levelling mortar Triflex BFS based on polymethyl methacrylate resin (PMMA) can be applied to almost all substrates. The product can also be applied on top of existing old coatings without adversely affecting stability. Since removal of the existing covering is not necessary, it is less time-consuming and costly. Triflex BFS levels out minor unevenness, thus ensuring visually attractive surfaces. The coating system is also chemical, weather and UV-resistant, providing the structure with long-lasting protection.
Quick application
The system is made up of the components Triflex ProDetail, Triflex ProFloor and Triflex Cryl Finish 205. They can be applied even in substrate temperatures of down to 0°C, so refurbishment work can be done in winter, too. The system''s short curing time means short closure periods. Balconies and walkways are ready to use again after two hours, so residents are inconvenienced as little as possible. After fleece-reinforced waterproofing of joints and details with Triflex ProDetail, the surface coating Triflex ProFloor can be applied. Next, contractors apply the finish Triflex Cryl Finish 205. The surfaces can be individually designed and finished in a range of colours in combination with Triflex Micro Chips, Triflex Colour Design and Triflex Creative Design.
Outdoor fire safety
The specialist in liquid applied waterproofing has developed a flame-retardant version: Triflex BFS (S1). Special additives make it flame-retardant and thus ideal for walkways and escape routes. Triflex BFS (S1) is designed for use on mineral substrates. Like the Triflex BFS system, it is chemical, weather and UV-resistant, and thus ideal for outdoor use. The product''s fire behaviour is graded in Class B1 acc. to DIN 4102 and Class Bfl-s1 acc. to DIN EN 13501-1. The high standard of safety of the Triflex BFS coating system is verified by a test certificate.
