Rediscovering the delights of the outdoors: the new Unopiù Paris showroom on Boulevard Saint-Germain
Restyling our Paris showroom
Unopiù has carried out a radical restyling of its Paris showroom at Boulevard Saint-Germain 212, in the heart of the design district in the Ville Lumière.
Curated by designer Andrea Andretta, the project has completely refurbished the 170 square-metre premises on two storeys of a period building with a typical Parisian facade.
The vision behind the showroom’s refurbishment aims to capture the typical atmosphere and colours of the outdoor world through the choice of natural materials with distinctive textures and a palette of earth colours, from beige to various shades of brown and grey.
The approach was carefully calibrated to respect and enhance the historical identity of the space, preserving the heritage of the intensely Parisian building and its rooms, while at the same time conveying the new direction of Unopiù.
The showroom is on two levels, connected by a distinctive spiral staircase in glossy dark brown. The ground floor, with three windows on the famous Boulevard Saint-Germain, offers an elegant welcome to visitors, with wood panelling in dark oak, dove grey resin flooring and walls of brown lime plaster.
Several set-ups showcase the latest collections, such as Davos, Treble and Coco, and the brand’s iconic lines, including Synthesis. These are organised in distinct living and lounge zones, in which items of furniture, even from different collections, create outdoor arrangements that are well-orchestrated and embellished by expert lighting for a highly scenic impact.
The same colour palette recurs on the upper floor, but with different materials and finishes. Here the mood is set by coconut matting in a warm grey shade, and skirting boards in dark oak that contrast with the lime plaster-effect dove grey of the walls. The space stands out for its unusual ceiling construction with exposed raw wood beams and its exterior-facing windows that allow natural light to slant in.
On the first floor, a materials library offers customers the opportunity to inspect and touch the various finishes available for the brand’s collection: from fabrics to ropes and wood, and the full range of materials used in the outdoor living proposals.
An interactive touchscreen monitor also allows visitors to browse the new Unopiù website, offering private customers, architects and designers a comprehensive overview of the products available. A new tool, launched for the first time in the Paris showroom, designed to provide useful support in choosing and purchasing.
The restyling of Unopiù’s Paris showroom has created a new space with a strong, warm minimalism vibe, where minimalist elements coexist with touches of warmth, lending light and weight to the brand’s outdoor range in a setting steeped in historical heritage.
On both floors, full-wall backlit lightboxes display iconic Unopiù products, like the Synthesis collection and the acclaimed Ginger director’s chair, adding an evocative contemporary touch to the space.
The restyled Paris showroom aims to be a landmark for anyone seeking high-quality outdoor products on the French market, offering specialist advice to both private customers and professionals in design industry.
