Triflex systems offer long-lasting protection to cable car stations

These extreme loads demand highly resilient and high-performance construction materials. Whilst classic refurbishment solutions only provide short-term answers, Triflex liquid-applied waterproofing systems offer long-lasting protection. The Triflex ProPark, Triflex Towersafe, Triflex ProTect and Triflex ProDetail systems are ideal for use on cable car stations. They can be applied at temperatures as low as -5 °C. Triflex waterproofing systems protect the building structure in the long term from external influences. They are robust, abrasion-resistant and are able to cope with the large number of skiers and hikers for many years. Notable projects in Italy, Austria and Switzerland attest the outstanding product quality of the Triflex waterproofing systems. The cable car valley station La Villa in South Tyrol is just one example.

This is used all year round by large numbers of tourists and is continuously exposed to high stresses. These loads leave their mark: because the flooring in the station entrance area was no longer leakproof, moisture had penetrated into the rooms below. To solve this problem, contractors from Lunger Isol GmbH based in Kardaun (Austria) used the waterproofing system Triflex ProPark with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) resin base to waterproof the flooring surface both quickly and reliably. The system is simple to maintain, capable of withstanding significant chemical and mechanical loads and offers excellent slip resistance. Thanks to the short curing times, the cable car station was soon reopened to the public and now shines with a new splendour.
