Real wood for next-generation surfaces

Functionality, design, and eco-sustainability were the key concepts behind the development of I-Wood—a revolutionary version of wood flooring, ideal for those who choose wood to furnish their spaces. Thanks to its total thickness of just 10.2 mm, I-Wood is extremely lightweight, making it also perfect as a wall covering. The top layer of fine wood, paired with a birch support and high-quality backing, is protected by the innovative XtremeStrong finish—the most advanced coating technology combining manufacturing know-how with the excellence of Made in Italy.

Maximum durability and sustainability

The real strength of this collection lies in the XtremeStrong technology, a cutting-edge coating system developed by Berti that offers exceptional resistance to wear (from heels and pets) and superior water resistance. It enhances the wood’s strength, allowing for thinner top layers while achieving outstanding performance: low environmental impact and high efficiency.

All tests passed certify I-Wood as a high-traffic product with excellent abrasion resistance according to UNI EN 14354:2017. A real wood floor and wall covering suitable for residential and commercial use.

Chevron parquet: a highlight of I-Wood

Unveiled exclusively at Arkeda, Berti presents the I-Wood chevron pattern—a timeless classic that has seen a strong resurgence in recent years, becoming a true trend in flooring. Among its many advantages is its elegance, making it one of the most refined installation styles, adaptable to any wood species and color. The I-Wood chevron comes in 10 color variants and three styles: Italian herringbone, Hungarian chevron, and French chevron.

The three-day event was an excellent opportunity to connect with new architects and professionals, who appreciated the innovation and quality of the materials presented, giving highly positive feedback on the I-Wood launch.
