Creative Book 11
New edition of the Creative Book now available
Creative Book is a Casalgrande Padana publication designed to highlight the company’s efforts in areas relating to architecture, design and technological research, which it supports and develops through the cultural endeavour of Grand Prix, an international architecture competition established in 1990 and today considered one of the top events on the ceramic design calendar.
Created in collaboration with Casabella magazine, the Creative Book is designed primarily as a working resource for professionals, offering useful information on the functional and aesthetic qualities, expressive potential and versatility of porcelain stoneware, and the key role it can play in architectural projects.
With a new structure and graphics having already been introduced for the 2019 edition, issue 11 of the Creative Book presents 23 works, selected from over 200 entries to the 12th edition of the Grand Prix, to which the international jury assigned awards and special mentions.
The creations are organised into four competition categories: shopping and office centres, large surfaces; public, service and industrial projects; residential buildings; façade cladding, outdoor paving and swimming pools.
Each work is illustrated with photographs and drawings and accompanied by a description of the project and details of the ceramic materials used, technical specifications and information and a brief biography of the designers in the appendix. With these practical examples, the Creative Book seeks to showcase the possibilities offered by ceramics, an age-old material that can be continually used in innovative ways and has today become, to all intents and purposes, a material for architecture - a combination Casalgrande endeavours to strengthen.
