Colours that define space: Cielo Solid Surface bathtubs in new colour palettes
Ceramica Cielo extends part of the rich colour range of its Acque and Terre colour palettes
Ceramica Cielo extends part of the rich colour range of its Acque and Terre colour palettes, already featured in its washbasin and sanitary ware collections, to its freestanding bathtubs, thus offering even greater material and chromatic continuity. Iconic models that have become symbols of the brand, such as Ottavia, Ofelia, Febe and Dafne, designed by Andrea Parisio and Giuseppe Pezzano, are now joined by Shui Comfort, with its equally sophisticated design characterised by soft, enveloping shapes is now available in the colours of Pomice, Brina, Arenaria, Avena, Lino, Agave, Cemento, Basalto and Lavagna. These finishes expand the expressive possibilities of the entire collection, allowing the bathtubs to blend naturally with the overall surfaces, furnishings and volumes of the contemporary bathroom.
The bathtubs are made of Solid Surface, a cutting-edge material distinguished by its compactness, seamless construction, velvety feel, and extremely refined aesthetic appeal. The polished surface recalls the natural elegance of stone and offers a unique sensory experience thanks to its characteristic soft touch effect. The composition, based on mineral fillers and natural resins, guarantees high performance in terms of resistance, mechanical stability, hygiene, and durability. Antibacterial, virucidal, antifungal, and self-cleaning, the Solid Surface used by Cielo is also an ideal choice for contract projects. These properties have also earned Cielo bathtubs to achieve the Green Guard Gold Certification, an international certification that confirms their sustainability and low emissions of volatile compounds.
The real innovation, however, lies in the introduction of new colours, achieved through a sophisticated surface treatment with a two-component acrylic-polyurethane paint. The colours are not mass-produced but applied using a formula specifically designed to ensure high resistance to yellowing, robust UV stability, and exceptional durability against temperature changes. This process achieves a uniform compact, and homogeneous colour, enhancing the purity of the shapes and maintaining the brilliance and chromatic depth of the surfaces over time. The finishes are also easy to clean and, if necessary, can be restored by touching up the enamel, thus ensuring longevity and a consistent aesthetic.
