Univé Stad & Land, The Netherlands

Insurance company Univé introduced a special concept for their local offices in 2013. The objective was to create a warm and homely environment where visitors feel free to enter and ask for advice on their insurance. IBP Interieurbouw, created the interior design. Lighting consultant Gerben Wolters from Van Dalen Installatietechniek BV was responsible for the lighting design.

The many positive responses that was received by Univé customers, has resulted in serious plans to apply this concept to other offices in the future.The distinctive design of the CLS Ultima, which was chosen in a side glow configuration, complements the modern look of this office very well. Equally important is the fact that employees experience the lighting as very pleasant.

This pleasant lighting experience is particularly caused by an extremely low UGR value in combination with the chosen LED light source, which has a warm and lively nature. The work environment in a room is therefore much more pleasant than with traditional PL and fluorescent light sources, that are often experienced as cold and flat. The CLS Ultima product range is available in several varieties, like a trackrail version or surface mounted.

Only three extremely compact 5 Watt Focus Spot fixtures are needed to light the wall visual. The Focus Spot is originally designed for use in museum environments, but may also be used in a wide variety of other environments.
