DARE THE CHARACTER PARQUET!

Parquet tiles

In 2018, we witness the return of raw and natural materials, and it is quite natural that the parquet is at the top of the list of materials acclaimed by the French.

Warm, comfortable, easy to maintain, the floor has stood out.

In this case, the projectors focused on custom-made panels and tiles. Admired from afar by some or proudly chosen by others, the stylistic effect they produce is always striking.

Emois et Bois has found three addresses where they prove how much they embody both pomp, nobility, and pure traditional parquet. Hard to remain insensitive to so much character.

In the program: Mansion, a wink to moviegoers, a Victorian villa

PARQUET OF CHARACTER: THE CHICISSIME VERSAILLES TILES

Although traditional, the panel Versailles is a very singular parquet which is noticed by its complex structure.

It was originally created to cover the old marble on the floor of the Palace of Versailles. Even today, this parquet participates in the most complete realization of French art of the seventeenth century: the official residence of the Kings of France.

Its pattern of pose is composed of small squares èvered in sleepers which are themselves intertwined and placed at 45 ° in a frame. Tenons and mortises maintain the whole.

We tend to think that the Versailles panels find their place only in the beautiful classic mansions, but they also agree perfectly with heterogeneous decoration styles: vintage, industrial, modern or contemporary ...

Traditionally, wooden panels must be placed at an angle and centered both on the openings or decorative element type fireplace, stove.

In this Victorian house, the Versailles Emois and Bois panels were laid in straight lines parallel to the walls. They bring a unique cachet for a soft and warm atmosphere.

Like the nobility to which they refer, at Emois and Bois, Versailles panels are assembled by hand, they constitute unique pieces of incomparable quality.

This building and apartment of the 4th district of Paris, hosted the filming cult film "The Magnificent".

Here, the Emois et Bois parquet panel Versailles is solid oak, it was laid raw and vitrified on site.

These panels orchestrate a wedding between several protagonists "woods": the beams, the library, the furniture and the doors.

Like the charismatic Jean-Paul Belmondo, the atmosphere that emanates from the place is elegant and refined.

This particular structure of the parquet reinforces the impression of perspectives and comfort in a room.

PARQUET OF CHARACTER: THE DECORATED TILES

There are several types of panels, the most emblematic panels are Versailles, Chantilly or Saint-Fargeau.

Some dare to break the codes by opting for more atypical models, with names not deposited, called: decor slabs.

At Emois et Bois, the slabs are used exclusively with glue down.

Very often presented in raw solid oak, the finishing can be done, according to the tastes, in workshop or on site.

In this mansion in the Place des Vosges, the slab "Krucona" was selected to create a unique atmosphere.

Here again, it is obvious that in a room the floor is an important element that plays on the unity of the decoration.

Made traditionally, with tongue and groove or flat singing for glueing, decorative slabs are the expression of all cultures.

Whether it is a rose window inserted in the middle of the entrance, a frieze surrounded by a room of beautiful proportions or cabochons, in another essence, inserted harmoniously, Emois and Wood is able to manufacture all this and more in his workshops Sèvres.

The motifs are worked exclusively on solid oak parquet.

Those who dare the panels or decorative slabs give an authentic atmosphere and a lot of character to their interior.

Oiling a wooden floor is not difficult, but it requires a long immobilization places especially in high-traffic rooms. The oiled floor supports light traffic 72 hours after application but it is really dry after 10 days.

Emois et Bois signs a new parquet: the oxidized oil "Ready to use". With its know-how of manufacturer and parquet finisher, this innovation combines quality, respect for the environment and ingenuity.

Once the floor is laid, the interior can be done immediately after installation.

Unlike conventional oiled parquet, which must be fully oiled once a year, oxidized oiled parquet ready to use is very simple to maintain since it suffices
