KE selected for a country house suspended between the forest and the sea in Norway

Located in the south-west of Norway, this magnificent private residence is close to some of the most famous natural attractions in the country. Not far from the coast of Jæren, this place is a paradise for those who love the seaside life, with some of the largest white sand beaches in Norway.

Among charming towns and villages, the town of Idse stands out for its location overlooking the bay which, on summer days, shines an intense blue in contrast with the lush, green vegetation.

In this incredibly charming natural environment where the scents of the forest mixes with those of the sea, stands this charming country house whose skillfully crafted construction combines materials that harmonize with each other in a blending of modern design and tradition.

Concrete provides a solid base, while the naturally aged, dark wood covers and warms the walls and gray sheet metal covers the roof. To emphasize the feeling of being outdoors, the Kedry Skylife bioclimatic pergola by KE was installed on the existing wooden flooring.

A structure that - among the scents of the forest - becomes a characterizing element of the country house, allowing you to be in touch with the outdoors while remaining sheltered in any weather. Equipped with an adjustable blade roof that allows you to modulate light and air, Kedry Skylife is shown here in charcoal, a perfect color to blend with the building.

To complete the harmony between architecture and landscape, Line Glass windows close the structure allowing light to shine and the sun’s rays to heat this wonderful open-air room. To allow use at all hours of the day and to set the stage for wonderful entertaining, LED strips have been installed in the internal profiles.

KE signs a new custom project for this house surrounded by nature and proposes a solution that makes functionality, customization, design and Made in Italy its powerful communicative and planning force.
