Project Overview

We are in small Dutch town, Nijkerk, located in a serene area in central Holland, where lush green landscapes and a deep-rooted artistic heritage create an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Here we find this private villa with its architectural style that masterfully blends tradition and modernity. One of the most distinctive features of local homes is their thatched roofs, a sustainable and abundant natural material that provides excellent protection against frequent rainfall, superior thermal insulation, and a touch of rustic charm—even in contemporary constructions.

Seeking to create seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, the homeowner turned to KE to design a solution that would harmoniously integrate with the existing architectural structure while enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

To meet these needs, KE’s premium outdoor solutions were selected for their versatility and reliability, ensuring seamless integration into the project.

The chosen centerpiece was the KEDRY Prime bioclimatic pergola, an elegant aluminum structure with adjustable louvers that offers both modular flexibility and superior climate control. The long, rotating louvers allow for optimal ventilation and natural light regulation while ensuring full weather protection when closed. Finished in pure white, the Kedry Prime pergola blends effortlessly with the villa’s architectural elements, enhancing brightness and aesthetic harmony.

To further refine the space, Vertika drop-down screens were installed to enclose the pergola’s sides. Available in a variety of fabrics, the selected gray-tone screens perfectly match the structure, ensuring a minimal visual impact while providing privacy and sun protection.

Completing the project is a perimeter LED strip system, adding a touch of sophistication, versatility, and comfort, transforming the space into an inviting retreat at any time of the day.
