KE designs the outstanding rooftop of the new Falkensteiner WaltherPark – Bolzano: an oasis of design and comfort with a unique view of the Dolomites

The Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen WaltherPark has opened its doors and is already establishing itself as a meeting point between glamour and tradition at the gateway to the Dolomites.

Project description:

The Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen WaltherPark has opened its doors and is already establishing itself as a meeting point between glamour and tradition at the gateway to the Dolomites. Elegant, minimalist design blends seamlessly with breathtaking panoramas and a Japanese fusion culinary experience. The urban elegance of Bolzano and its alpine charm reach their highest expression in the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar located on the eighth floor.

To extend and enhance the outdoor area dedicated to dining and bar service, the client selected the KE Contract Division as the ideal partner. Specialized in large-scale projects for luxury hospitality and fine dining, KE Contract responded to the need for an outdoor solution that was functional, aesthetically refined, and visually impactful.

Demonstrating KE’s deep expertise in the contract sector, the customized project included the selection of the Kedry Prime bioclimatic pergola: an aluminium structure with adjustable blades up to 135°. Thanks to its wide modularity in both width and projection, it is suitable for covering large surfaces while ensuring proper ventilation and natural lighting through the opening of the blades.

Kedry Prime allowed for the creation of a completely custom-built structure. It was designed to reach over 4 meters in height and a projection of more than 7 meters. The structure is also highly resistant to loads, including light snow.

Customization also played a key role in the choice of colour: the matte white RAL 9010 finish was selected to harmonize with the terrace accessories and to create an elegant contrast with the building’s colour tones. To enhance the warm and refined atmosphere desired by the client, the Kedry Prime pergolas were equipped with dimmable integrated LED perimeter lighting, extending the usability of the space into the evening hours.

This project in Bolzano highlights KE’s ability to meet the most demanding requirements of high-end hospitality, creating structures that not only integrate seamlessly into their surroundings but also enrich them—developing new spaces that harmoniously connect indoor and outdoor environments.
