In the evocative setting of Esine, a small village nestled amid the greenery of the central Val Camonica, a residential outdoor project redefines the concept of bien-vivre and reinterprets the dialogue between architecture and nature in a contemporary key.
The project unfolds within the garden of a private villa, a solid stone building that echoes the traditional architecture of the area. The brief was to create an outdoor space to be experienced to the full, an exclusive setting that would make the most of the regenerating shade of the pergolas and, at the same time, the coolness of a swimming pool, ensuring maximum comfort at every moment of the day.
Leading this project are KE and Myrtha Pools, two of the partners of OLC (Outdoor Leading Companies – with Varaschin). The partnership, created to offer integrated outdoor design through shared expertise and a complementary range, meets the needs of architects and designers thanks to a tailor-made service. The shared aim is to enhance the outdoors as the perfect union between people and the environment, exporting Italian technological innovation and Made in Italy quality around the world.
The project took shape by combining aesthetics and engineering, thanks to the collaboration between Studio Flusso Creativo, the KE Contract division and the KE Store NM Outdoor.
The choice fell on the flagship of the Gennius range: the bioclimatic pergola awning Kedry Prime, a self-supporting aluminium structure with a roof of adjustable louvres (up to 135°). This technology allows millimetric control of sunlight and natural ventilation; in bad weather, fully closing the louvres ensures maximum water-tightness and optimal run-off thanks to the system of perimeter gutters and downpipes integrated and concealed within the columns.
To bring out and brighten the pool area – a Myrtha Pools creation – and to blend with the colour scheme of the terrace, the Matt White finish was chosen. This shade reflects natural light, visually expanding the space and lending a contemporary touch and sophisticated formal cleanliness to the entire structure.
To ensure complete screening from low-angled sun and excellent protection from the elements, the pergola was completed with the Vertika vertical blinds. These side and front drop blinds offer different levels of screening (thanks to a variety of filtering or blackout fabrics) and, once rolled up, disappear completely within the structure’s profiles, keeping the minimalist purity of the design intact.
A highlight of this high-end project is the splendid expanse of water created by Myrtha Pools, a work that enhances the garden area and creates a perfect union with the shaded zones designed by KE. A pool with a hidden infinity edge and an elegant Touch sublime finish in the warm, natural tones of travertine. Perfect for a swim, the pool was also designed for relaxation thanks to the neck-massage fountain and a wide sun deck. Among the accessories, two of the standout trends of recent years: the cover shutter that prevents heat loss during the night, and the exclusive Artemis home-automation system, which lets you control water quality and temperature, lighting and water features from a smartphone.
This project in Val Camonica once again confirms KE’s ability to manage complex and challenging projects. On this occasion, the synergy with Myrtha Pools, demonstrates great flexibility in meeting the most demanding client requirements, offering bespoke, tailor-made solutions that combine the highest technology, attention to detail and deep design craftsmanship.
