Terrace project

Kupfersiefer Mill

Among other things, two different sized terrace decks with a total area of 160 sqm were planned and installed for this project. A slightly smaller one in the back of the buildings and a large deck underneath a 200 year old chestnut tree. The huge root system was taken into account and integrated in the planning by means of a platform.

For the decking, Nico Hülkenberg and Oliver Bartsch decided on the SIGNUM decking board in the color nutmeg. To the structured planed top side, each plank shows a unique finely drawn grain. This harmonizes wonderfully with the historic facades of the Kupfersiefer Mill. Along the house wall and below the converted mill stone, the owners have chosen megalite spots. This makes the terrace an absolute highlight even in the dark. The customized pedestal was also implemented from matching construction planks in the color nutmeg.

Oliver comments: "The mill should be given a new lease of life and made accessible to the public. People should gather here, celebrate together and use the place to relax, unwind and feel good."
