The first step was for the contractors to remove the existing tiled floor plus the substructure of the flat roof and the old waterproofing. The new sloping screed was then applied. After abrading the substrate, both the surface and the wall junctions were primed with Triflex Cryl Primer 276. Depressions were filled with Triflex Cryl Paste, while joints and penetrations were waterproofed with Triflex ProDetail. The contractors applied Triflex ProTerra generously before embedding the special fleece and applying a second coating of Triflex ProTerra wet-on-wet. Once the waterproofing layer had cured, an additional layer of Triflex ProTerra was applied to act as a protective layer under the new timber deck. In the space of just a few days, the roof terrace in Santa Ponsa was in tip-top condition and ready to walk on. The result is a waterproofing solution that will give the structure lasting and reliable protection against mechanical loads and penetrating moisture.
