Multi functional Zhavoronki Sports Centre

A new vision of sports halls

Ascénder recently completed this impressive building located in Zhavoronki - 14,000m2 in the rural outskirts of Odintsovo, near Moscow. The Russian company Magnum Sports created a venue never seen before in the country: it can be transformed within minutes to host competitions in 22 different sports!

Needless to say the jewel in the crown is the 2,500 seat Main Hall: both its functionality & superb finishes made this venue already a reference in Russia. Ascénder supplied the 1,600 bench mounted Space Max chairs for the fixed area as well as the 4 telescopic tribunes located in front. These were supplied in conjunction with our French partner Hugon Tribunes: another 550 Space Max Retractable chairs manually foldable with the help of gas struts that may increase the capacity of the venue when needed.

Comfort, perfect sight lines and above all, finishes, were key issues in this project. Melamine was used for the side & front panels of the tribunes, standard plastic seats were substituted by auditorium chairs with upholstered seat & back cushions, 6 different colours of high end fabric were combined and even the numbering plates matched the colour of the metal parts & arms. This is what we call attention to details!
