Espacio Malinche
MODEL: Baco VIP, Scarlett VIP
The large tents in front of pavilion No. 2 of IFEMA, Madrid host a truly innovative project in Spain: an entertainment space erected outside the largest convention center in Spain to house one of the largest stages in Europe (29 meters long and 12 meters high) inside an extraordinary performing arts centre, spacious and comfortable for the spectator. And all this inside several tents specially created so that the musical Malinche by Nacho Cano being performed today in Madrid, could be dismantled and moved anywhere in the world!
Our company is tremendously proud to have participated in a challenge like this. Never before had we supplied so many premium seats (more than 1,000) for a theatre – and even less had we installed them under such large tents. All seats have an optimal view of the stage, are much wider than normal (widths range from 56 to 66cm) and have special finishes (cup holder, eco-leather upholstery and double stitching). Such a large venue full of VIP seats as Malinche’s is very difficult to find anywhere else in the world.
But even more than the dimensions of the seats, what really attracts attention is the concept of “permanent temporality” the venue has. The venue is gorgeous and magnificent, dimensions are impressive… but all seats can be disassembled together with the stage and the tents to be stored in containers and sent to the next destination. Even the metal tribune located at the back of the big tent and that houses the VVIP box is made of modules with the sole purpose of being able to be disassembled as fast as possible.
For this unique project, Ascénder provided, in addition to the seats (Baco VIP and Scarlett VIP), the temporary metal tribune and the floor of the entire venue.
