CONCRETE TABLES AND BENCHES FOR SCHOOLS

Encourage students to spend more time outdoors.

King Edward VI Aston School is a multi-ethnic, selective school for boys opened in 1883 and still located on its original site, in the Aston area of Birmingham. Recent building improvements at this outstanding-rated school have included additional use of outdoor space for dining, socialising and studying. In particular, high-quality external seating and dining tables were made available outside to encourage the students to spend as much time as possible outdoors during their breaks.

Calzolari supplied seven Andromeda concrete tables and fourteen Andromeda concrete benches with weather-resistant FSC®-certified exotic wood tops. The school opted for Polished Reconstructed Stone finish with Clear Water Repellent Coating in “Black Stone” colour which is a very smart and visionary decision:

• Black stone and warm “walnut” shade of the timber top make a perfect match with red brick and black shingles of the school building

• Polished Reconstructed Stone is a long-lasting material which does not require maintenance, like natural stone

• Enhanced by clear water-repellent acrylic coating, that is alkali resistant and highly protective against harsh environments, this type of material is designed to last.

We at Calzolari are confident that our Andromeda furniture will witness many generations of brilliant Edwardians live their happiest moments.
