Vertical garden in a bar in Seville, «Mamarracha, tapas and embers»

We've been wanting to tell you news like this for a long time, and finally we can do it!

Last Friday, April 11, and thanks to the effort and express desire of its owner Juan Manuel García Tiscornia to include the first vertical garden in a bar in Seville in his new establishment , we carried out, in collaboration with ARTBUSTO, the installation of a garden interior vertical in its new location Mamarracha, tapas and embers , which opened its doors last April 13, Palm Sunday. The local project, in whose design its owner has directly participated, has been carried out by the Juan Pedro Donaire studio ,Persevere Productions SL ,

This vertical garden is the first to be installed in a bar in Seville and we have done it together with Artbusto using our Fytotextil® system.

Due to its interior design concept, its privileged location and the elaborate gastronomic approach of its menu , this new premises located a few meters from the Cathedral of Seville , has everything necessary to become a benchmark within the gastronomic leisure offer of Seville. .

The vertical garden is located on the left party wall of the premises, presiding over the dining area at the back of the establishment, which is why it achieves a surprise effect on visitors to the premises who only discover the presence of the vertical garden once they have accessed the back of the same. The vertical garden starts from the upper part of the backrest of a continuous bench, upholstered in aged leather, which occupies the entire width of the table area, and extends to the ceiling of the premises, which preserves the wooden beams, typical of the old premises in this area of the historic center of Seville.

The design of the vertical garden , which uses 475 plants , combines species such as the maranta leuconera, the soleirolia, the asplenium nidus or the espatiphilum, and is organized in plastic and sinuous forms, which seek to reinforce the organic character of the whole, enhancing the natural sensation of the vertical garden , while providing scale to the premises, highlighting all its free height.

This effect is obtained by contrasting the vertical garden with the content design of the rest of the premises, which is resolved without superfluous decorative concessions, exploiting the honesty of the materials used, such as the lining of the walls, the covering with noble woods or the raw finish. of the unplastered walls. These resources manage to build a welcoming environment, which transports the visitor to an authentic and timeless space, which rescues and values the history that its walls treasure.

We leave you some images of the assembly process, which we carried out again with the colleagues of Artbusto in an intense day of Dolores Friday.

The vertical garden system , proposed with a lost solution irrigation system, which is collected at its base, completes its equipment with some more components, located in the warehouse located on the mezzanine, from where the programming of the irrigation, the fertigation system and the programming of the projectors used to guarantee the level of lighting necessary for the development of the plants. In this way the garden works autonomously and periodically we will make the necessary adjustments.

The lighting system manages to enhance the nuances and colors of the natural setting, generating a focal point of attention within the premises, and turns this green wall into a main element that serenely presides over the daily flow of diners, waiters and visitors.

With this installation, the Mamarracha Bar becomes the first hotel establishment in Seville to have a vertical garden of these characteristics, which will undoubtedly set a benchmark in the panorama of interior design in the city.

We can explain all this to you in this post, but the best thing, the feeling of enjoying an interior space flooded with life, nature, oxygen and freshness, we cannot explain it to you with words. If you are in Seville or pass by, the best way to verify it is to visit the establishment yourself, and take the opportunity to enjoy its delicious menu in a natural environment that for now, you will not find in another place in the city.

At Urban Therapy we are very satisfied with the result, and we hope that you will also like the design and the effect achieved. If you visit the premises we will be delighted to know your impressions, you can share your photos and comments with us on our facebook page , or twitter . We would love to hear your opinion!
