Vertical Garden in a Pharmacy in Seville

This vertical garden in a Pharmacy in Seville , built with the Fytotextile system , is installed on the façade of a commercial building located in Ciudad Expo (Mairena del Aljarafe).

The vertical garden area is organized in 4 sections with different orientations, adding up to a total area of ​​28.61 m 2 .

The installation was carried out by the company GG Gardening Projects , at the end of December 2015.

The vertical garden has an advanced remote control system , which allows irrigation to be managed remotely, and has T and H probes that allow real-time readings of both the humidity in the growing medium and the outside temperature.

In this way, it is possible to adapt the operation of the vertical garden to the microclimatic conditions at all times, and optimize the efficiency of its consumption. In addition, an alert system warns of possible irrigation problems, power outages, drastic drops in the humidity level, etc.

For all this, this remote control system increases security in the management of the maintenance of this garden in height.

The sections of the garden are located at 4.00 m above street level, so they are not easily accessible, and for their installation it was necessary to design an auxiliary structure that would allow them to be anchored to the existing slabs.
